Amazon this morning announced a new version of its Kindle DX large screen e-reader with a sharper display and a lower price: $379, down from $489. The new version, which now has a graphite enclosure, zoom capability and offers 50 percent improved screen better contrast than the old one, starts shipping July 7. Amazon recently tweaked the Kindle to include integration with Twitter and Facebook, and also touts Kindle’s built-in PDF reader. Available for Pre-order. This item will be released on July 7, 2010.
